Arrival Story: Sally is a sweet dog looking for a home where she can find her one true love forever! She was surrendered to a shelter in Virginia. We are not sure why. She is the kind of loving dog we affectionately call "velcro" because she always sticks with her people.
Sally is about 2 years old and weighs 33 lbs. She is an ACD mixed with Australian Shepherd or Border Collie. Despite being a herding dog, Sally doesnt ask for a lot of exercise. Instead her high energy DNA shows up in another way she is a bit of a Nervous Nelly. Shes insecure and lacks confidence. We think the best way to help Sally realize her full potential will be in a forever home where she can have a job to do agility, flyball, being a running partner or therapy dog, or rounding up sheep, if you have any!
Bio: Sally is a hound for affection and adores every person she meets. She also enjoys playing with male dogs in her foster home -- especially younger, submissive dogs. The girls? She would rather they packed their bags and left her to rule the roost!
She has a soft black and grey coat, wacky tufts of brown fur poking out between her toes, and a bright white Bentley on her forehead. Add in her soulful eyes and she is stunningly beautiful.
We think Sally will blossom in a laid back home where she is the only dog -- so she doesn't have to share the love and she can learn to be more confident and secure. Sally is spayed and up to date on all shots and preventatives. She is being fostered in Langhorne, PA -- outside of Philadelphia.
Sally is being fostered by a volunteer with ACDRA. If you are interested in meeting Sally, submit your application here to get the ball rolling: http://www.acdra.org/adoption-appl ication
