Arrival Story:
I had just finished walking my 2 dogs at the park. I was getting in my car when a small, black puppy walked out from under a car and came up to me. He had on a collar but no tags. I took him to the vet immediately and they said he was about 9 weeks old and had probably been on his own for at least 1-2 weeks. I advertised for an owner but, fortunately, no one claimed him. His DNA test showed he is lab/retriever/mastiff, and I think he has the best traits of each one!
Bio:
When Shiloh grew to be such a large dog I decided to look for a very good home for him. I could not handle an emergency with such a large dog and I had no yard. He was adopted by a wonderful military family, the husband had worked as a K-9 trainer at one time and they had a smaller lab mix as a friend for Shiloh and lots of large dog experience.
Sadly, his new mom is very sick and in and out of the hospital. She can no longer run the house, take care of the children, her husband and Shiloh. Her husband returns to the Middle East this fall. So she is arranging to return Shiloh to me. She is heartbroken, but glad he is coming back to his 1st mom. I am very excited, Shiloh will arrive in early March!
