She appeared in our yard one day, looking scared. We never found her owners and think she was mistreated before and perhaps dropped off near us, in the country. She fit right in, acting like she had lived here forever, and she's a wonderful addition to the family.
Bio:
Zoey is very sweet and loving. She and Zander are best friends, but her next favorite family member is the cat (Mac).

Dear Diary,
I went to the river today! I get so excited when Mom and Dad throw sticks in the water for me to swim to and bring back!!! My attention is purely focused on that stick! I jump and hop around a lot when they are about to throw it. Mom said it looks like my back legs are made of springs!
Here is a picture of the river spot we go to. I love going there!! The water is calm at that spot and there was hardly a current today. It was an extra-special day though because I overcame my fear of swimming! In the past, I still got excited about the sticks, but I wouldn't go away from the shallow area to get them. I stayed where I could touch the rocks even though I really wanted to go further like my brother Zander.
Today I wasn't afraid anymore. I went for it. And guess what? Swimming is FUN! I love retrieving those sticks and I love swimming!! Next time, Mom is going to bring my tennis ball. I know I will love combining my favorite toy with my new love of swimming!

Dear Diary,
I see that the last time I wrote in my diary, I got a new bed. Guess what? I got ANOTHER new bed! I grew so much since then that Mom & Dad had to get me a bigger one! They knew I needed a new one because I kept stealing Zander’s bed. I knew the bed was for me and loved it right away. The problem is that Mac (the cat!) thought it was HIS bed!
Here he is- in MY new bed!
Here I am, trying to politely tell him it was not his bed!
But he was reluctant to give it up!
Sigh. I guess I'm learning to share.

Hi Diary!
I got a new bed today! The other night, I curled up in a small cat bed, which made Mom and Dad laugh. So they got me a cozy little bed that makes me feel safe when I curl up in it! I loved it right away and sniffed it all over. I knew it was mine. Zander knew it was mine, too, because it’s too small for him!!
Zander and I also got new bright green tennis balls today!! I love tennis balls! I know I always say that every toy is my favorite, but these really are my favorite!! I played fetch for a long time today. I couldn’t get enough! Mom says I am good at playing fetch. I always bring the ball back and drop it at her feet. Zander doesn’t do that—he gets the toy and then never lets anyone else have it!!
Now I’m getting sleepy, curled up here in my new bed…zzzzzz
