   Leave a bone for Molly

Sweetie-Patootie, Molly-girl, Molls, Molly-Golly

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

Ball playing - catching and throwing. Belly rubs are really great and having my dad's undivided attention rates pretty high on my list as well

Where to begin? Being brushed, being ignored, having a bath, trying to snuggle when she doesn't want to, playing ONLY with the big ball - we must mix in some tennis balls as well.

Favorite Toy:
A large squeeky ball, a gazillion tennis balls and a stuffed toy that looks like a jack

Favorite Food:
Solid Gold Lamb & Rice - also natural peanut butter and fresh peanuts

Favorite Walk:
On city streets or in the park

Best Tricks:
Catching, throwing, dancing

Arrival Story:
Molly is the result of hours of internet research and reading. It was necessary to have a dog that was hypoallergenic and the choices were essentially a miniature schnauzer or a poodle. All the traits of the schnauzer pointed in that direction and we were lucky to find a great breeder who gave us a schnauzer with personality PLUS. This young lady is a charmer. She is not yappy, loves all people and provides hours of unparalleled joy.

Molly is a ball player. She was born a ball player, that is, a natural. She can catch a tennis ball in her mouth and then throw it back with great accuracy. She plays soccer with a larger ball and can kick with the best of them. She also makes a great soccer goalie - not very many shots can get by this little star.

My New Home

I came to my first house when I was 10 weeks old. It was a nice English tudor with lots of room for all of us. I liked the house a lot - I knew every nook and cranny and I also had a lot of friends on the block. I played with Ritzie the dachshund, Bonnie and Clyde, the two Maltese and the springer spaniel. We all had a nice time on the block. Then one day I overhead my mom and dad talking about moving to a new house !! I was terrified. What if I didn't like it? What if I couldn't make new friends?

Well I am now in my new house for about two months and I like it BETTER than my old house. In my old house my bedroom was shared with my dad's office - now I have my OWN bedroom and dad has his OWN office. It's a great setup. The new house is bigger than the old one - I can play ball and play with all of my toys. I have also made a lot of good friends here. Down the street is Teddie the schnoodle. There are a couple of spaniels called Chloe and Baci. I also like a Wheaton terrier named Kobe and across the street is a big lab named Scoobie. Life is really great in this neighborhood.

I am so glad we moved. I really love my new house, my new neighbors and my new friends. Thanks mom and dad for moving me.

Hello From Sunny Florida

I spoke to my mom today and learned that it is 29 degrees in New York. I am pretty happy about this since my dad took me to Florida to visit friends. We flew out of NY on Sunday when it was snowing and arrived in Fort Lauderdale where the temperature was in the high 70s. What a nice change. Just last week, every time I had to go out for a poop, my dad had to put on my coat since it was so cold. Now here in Florida, we just go out and have a lot of fun. We played ball before and had a good time. Yesterday my dad took me into his friend's swimming pool, but quite honestly, I didn't like it very much. Any way I am here until next Friday, so I am going to enjoy every minute of the nice weather because I know I have a long cold winter in front of me.

My First Boat Ride

Yesterday was Labor Day and it was a beautiful day in New York. My mom and dad took me to Central Park so that we could walk around and see all the other people who were also walking their dogs. But then we came to the lake in the middle of Central Park and my dad thought it would be a good idea to take a row boat out into the lake. So we climbed in and although it was a bit shaky at first, I got my sea legs and really enjoyed being on the lake. It was really great since I didn't have to row - all I did was sit in the boat and enjoy the view. We stayed on the water about an hour and then came back and enjoyed a nice lunch at the Boat House Restaurant. They wouldn't let me in - can you believe it ?? - but they did let us eat outdoors so we had a nice lunch. Well my mom and dad had a nice lunch. But I had a nice Greenie and some cool fresh water, so I was pretty happy. My hope is to go boat riding another time.
