Arrival Story:
We had a Texas Blue Lacy for nearly 2 years that was our 'camping' (& outdoor) dog. We lost Ranger suddenly and unexpectedly right before Christmas '10. I knew we had to have another camping dog (i.e. bigger than the 3 Shih Tzus I have for 'house' dogs) so I started looking at Craigslist ads online. I checked every city CL within about 200 miles. I saw the ad and pictures for Bogie's litter & knew immediately I had to have one of those puppies. By the time the owner called me, she only had Bogie not spoken for. Luckily he was kinda the one in the pictures I had my eye on anyway--LOL! So I drove 2 hours to get him!

Bio:
Dogs that are half Australian Heeler and half Australian Shepherd are sometimes known as 'Texas Heelers'. You can google them and they are an actual ranching type dog. Breeders have the puppies from working ranch dogs for hundreds of dollars. I paid $35 for Bogie and his parents were working cattle ranch dogs too!!
