Arrival Story:
My husband and I are retired and after the loss of our previous dog, Kelsey, (a Cockachow mix who was suppose to be a Cockapoo, but someone else came courting her mom), our house felt empty. Due to some health issuses we knew our next dog would need to be small. I went on line to read about various small dog breeds and kept coming back to the Coton de Tulear breed which I had never heard of before. The more I read, the more interested I became, and decided to find one for our pack. After several months of searching we bought our little girl from a breeder in Missouri. We purchased a breed I had only read about, a pup seen only in pictures, and from a person I had never met. A lot could have gone wrong, but we have been blessed with one of the gentlest, non-aggressive, cuddlers around. Molly is truly a companion dog and is happiest when curled in the lap or feet of her owners or dog loving visitors.

Life With Molly Girl

Summer Haurcut

The weather has been sultry her in PA and even though Molly is a house pooch the outside trips had her panting. Molly is just back from the groomer's with a summer haircut. It certainly changes her looks, but by the way she is prancing I'd say Molly approves. I always miss her longer locks, but she is much easier to brush and keep mats out with her shorter duo; plus I know she is cooler too. Happy Summer Molly!

Updates From PA

This has been an interesting few months. September was the rainest September PA has ever had and poor Molly kept getting so wet when she went outside. Molly started to think going outside was always followed by a towel rub down. Wet paws led to matted legs which were no fun to keep untangled.

Then in October we had our first and deepest snow ever for October. Molly loved the snow! Hopping in it, sniffing it, and rolling in it was fun and just like a little kid she didn't want to come inside. The towel and hair dryer were put into use again.

We also lost electricity for a several hours during that snow storm; unlike many in our community who lost theirs for days. No heat and low outside temps made for a chilly house. Molly wasn't certain about all the candles or our kerosene lamps which gave off unusual smells and less light either, but with no electricity there was more time for brushing, cuddling, and playing fetch with Molly's favorite twisted, knotted rope. Maybe this no electricity isn't such a bad thing after all.

We're all hoping November is much quieter and the October snow is not an indication of what is to come this winter. Regardless Molly is ready for the challenge and Mom has the reliable dry towels handy.

Thanks
