Arrival Story:
My sister has owned at least 5 dogs before she got Arlowe. Arlowe is the perfect dog for my sister and her family. He's there to stay and she is done getting dogs and getting rid of them...Ricky was one of the dogs who she didn't like and couldn't properly care for his needs.
Bio:
My sister adopted Ricky from a rescue in the winter of 2003. She had him until the summer of 2004. He was known to hate cats BEFORE she adopted him. Well my sister got him on impulse. She had 2 cats and her neighbors had 3 or 4 cats (yes, she was literally dumb as a rock for doing this). Well..as you can probably guess, Ricky mauled my sisters cat (puncturing her lung and almost killing her). After this, the cats were kept in a seperate room from Ricky. This seemed to work really well and aside from a few times Ricky got out of the yard and ran and ran, everything was going well with Ricky. Well 5 or 6 months later, Ricky was in the backyard and the neighbors cat jumped over the fence into my sisters yard, and Ricky mauled that cat (killing the cat). The neighbors called animal control, and they took Ricky away. When the paper work came back, at the bottom of the page it said "euthanized." So sad. Ricky was a great dog, just in the hands of the wrong people. I just wish my sister was more careful with the dogs she had. :(
