Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Gotcha Date: May 15th 2010
 Birthday: May 15th 2008
Likes: Running, car rides, having her belly rubbed, and leg massages.

Pet-Peeves: Being ignored.

Favorite Toy: She doesn't play with toys, though I've tried to interest her.

Favorite Food: Rice, any meat at all, pasta, or cheese.

Favorite Walk: The woods.

Best Tricks: Handshakes

Arrival Story: At my grandfather's burial, friends and family stood around his grave, listening to the closing prayers. A dog came running over, thin to the point of starvation, and began sniffing for food and looking for attention. After the ceremony, I urged my mom to put the dog in the back of her car and take her home, but she wouldn't. We made the two hour trip back to my mom's house, where I hopped into my car, bought a bag of dog food and returned to pick up the dog.

Bio: When I found her, Libby had been living on her own for some time. She was 10 lbs underweight, with every bone and joint protruding. She was infested with ticks, roundworm, tapeworm, and heartworm. She underwent a pretty traumatic heartworm treatment, spent some rough (and expensive) time at the animal hospital, and had some adjustment issues, but she's a great, loving dog and my best friend.

I have an absolutely unreal collection of toys that squeak and make sounds like actual prey animals, Nylabones, Kongs, Loofah dogs, tug ropes, and balls for playing catch. But I don't care about a single one, which somehow doesn't keep my mom from buying more.
Since the nasty weather has prevented our usual, long walks, my mom ordered some puzzle toys to help keep me engaged while she is at work. There's a disk made out of some composite material where mom stashes some kibble and then I have to find it. There's also a plastic ball a couple of holes in it, so that if I roll it just right with my nose or a paw, treats come tumbling out!
I heard her say she spent kind of a lot of money on these silly contraptions, but I could really care less about them, even when I'm hungry in between meals or when she tries to help me open them up. Silly mom!

Hey, all. It's pretty cold here in Michigan and there's lots of snow on the ground. For some reason, I'm losing all of this fur in big clumps. Mom keeps saying I'm blowing my coat, whatever that means, and I also hear lots of cursing and vacuuming. Guess I'm making quite a mess. It seems strange that I appear to be losing my winter coat...in the middle of winter. Does anyone know what that's all about?
