Bio:
"Duffy is a 19 month old boxer that was left abandoned by his owner at a vet clinic. After a couple of months, the vet clinic found him a home. That home gave him away to another family who didn't take very good care of him. He ended up wandering the streets until a nice lady found him and took him back to the vet clinic. She paid to keep him safe until Legacy Boxer Rescue had a foster home for him. No more wandering the streets, looking for someone to love him. Duffy will have nothing but the best from now on! He is a BIG, active boy that finds it hard to control his wiggles. He's working on learning not to jump so much, but because if his size, his foster mom prefers that he go to a home with older children (over 10). He LOVES other dogs and is very good with all shapes and sizes, unless there's a toy around. He prefers not to have to share his toys. He'll eventually learn that there are plenty of toys to go around and that sharing is more fun. He's also still working on basic house training. He has an occasional accident and is learning how to ask to go potty. Even though he has a doggy door, he hasn't learned that he should always go outside to do his business. It's a work in progress. He's a smart boy and will learn soon. He is VERY well crate trained though. That comes from spending several months in a small kennel at the vet's office. If you have the time and patience to work on some basic training, then please let someone at LBR know and they'll put you in touch with his foster mom. In the meantime, Duffy will be hanging out with his fur brothers and sisters, soaking up the love and attention he's missed by not having a family to call his own.
