Arrival Story: My husband was in Islamabad, Pakistan with the Dept. of State. He was the guardian of another dog in Islamabad and this dog got stung by a bee on his lip. My husband and a friend rushed the stung dog to the vet where the friend asked about the availability of German Shepherds. The vet happened to have two pups, a male and a female about 2 months old both living in a wooden box in the mud. The friend took the female that day and after a swift e-mail exchange with me, my husband picked up the male the next day. Beau then endured a 26 hour flight in a crate to come to the United States to be with me. My husband was finally able to permanently join us a few months later.
Bio: Beau has a personality that is pure GSD. He is a happy dog but not an overly affectionate dog. The photo of Beau eating from his dish - with his paw in the dish - is the first day my husband got him. My husband decided that Beau needed food more than a bath - fortunately Beau ate his first good meal quickly and soon had a bath! Beau has matured into a real fine dog. He is content to lay around if I am on the computer or otherwise just hanging out. However, the second his favorite toy is touched, or I put my shoes on - he's ready to play or go for a walk! He carries himself with all the dignity of a registered purebred (being from Pakistan, he has no papers). His bearing is almost regal, until Scout starts teasing him, then he reverts to his puppy self - too funny!!

I think I know where they went tho. I heard Mom talking on her little 'phone' and she said Duke's name. Duke is my cousin who lives in PA with a BUNCH of really loud people. There are a lot of really nice people there too (especially the two ladies who live with Duke - they are really really nice!) but I really don't like tons of loud people. I'll bet Scout is getting lots of attention tho - it's her birthday tomorrow, so I guess it's ok. Meanwhile, Mom and I are having tons of fun!
I'm not sure where they went, but I know I smelled them when a car drove by when Mom and I were walking. I could tell their smells anywhere (especially stinky Scout!!).
I guess it's ok. Mom and I went for a really really long walk, and then we went for another walk (after a short nap) with Sabre. And when we got home, I got some cow tongue in my dinner!! I'm liking this a lot! I do miss Dad and Scout, but I figure they are together, so it's all ok.
