Arrival Story:
I've been adopted!!! YAY! Samurai was turned over to TRRN with his brother Sir and is currently in a foster home in Indiana. He came to us with cherry eye but we have since had that repaired. Sam is sweet, loving and playful with his foster family and LOVES to lay on the couch for snuggles. Plopping his 65 pounds onto a lap is one of his favorite things to do, yes.. he's a 65 pound lap dog! Even though Sam is currently in a foster home, we would love to get him to a more permanent foster home or forever home ASAP! Sam really doesn't do too well with cats..he thinks they are a fantastic thing to chase and try to eat, so he will not be placed in a home with cats. He might do okay with another dog in the home, but it would have to be the "right" dog and several meetings would have to take place if any family interested in Sam has a dog. This handsome boy is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccines and micro-chipped. As a requirement of his adoption, his new family must take him to group training classes that use positive training methods. Our adoption process includes completion of our Application, followed by a phone interview and home inspection.

Bio:
Sam didn't have too great of a life before he came to us and would really like an active Mom or Dad to get him out into the world and show him just how much fun it can be! True to Thai Ridgeback nature, he will bond incredibly strong to his "human" and he may bark at other people not his his family until he gets to know them. He has shown no signs of aggression with his foster family - they just love him! Sam does not like to be left alone. His foster family is crate training him and he's doing okay with it. His optimum home would be one that doesn't have leave him alone too long!
