He was not a swimmer but couldn't get in the shower fast enough! Love to bark and chase after remote control cars/trucks. Evo always enjoyed a long nap, many times a day and a good game of Tug-of-war. Sleeping side by side with dad. Butt scratches!

nail clipping and being outside alone.
Favorite Toy:
any towel he could play tug-of-war with. The water sprinkler, Remote control truck
Favorite Food:
if it was food, it was his favorite! also loved beer!
Favorite Walk:
to the car for a ride, out onto the deck to lay in the hot sun.
Best Tricks:
barking when asked "How much do you love me?" All the basic commands.
Arrival Story:
Evo's human dad's cousin was a breeder of Labs. Evo was born on December 7th, 1991. Evo's litter came down with parvo and he was the only pup to survive. We were blessed with 12 great years of Evo. We lost him on February 16,2004 to what was believed to be cancer in his jaw.(biopsy came back inconclusive).
Bio:
Evo was the most devoted dog anyone could ask for, He loved everyone and was happy just hanging out. We were convinced if ever someone broke into our house Evo would either show them to the good stuff or get them to take a nap with him! He had no bad hang ups, and never got into things once out of the "puppy phase". There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of my Bigman and smile, he was without a doubt the sweetest dog I have ever known.
The photo below is of Evo playing Tug-of-war with a dear friend of his human guardians that also has passed (VSP Mark Cosslett Oct 23, 2002) We know they are together playing "tug" even now! RIP- Evo and Mark, we love you both!

Dang we hate these things! But it seems another round of tag is making it's way around dogster, BOL! ;) I was tagged by my furiend Lacy in Maryland!
Here are the rules:
I think every pup knows the basic tag rules, but because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. I get to tell ya about 7 things that I am thankful for and then tag 7 pals and tell them about it with a pmail or a rosette. Then those pups get to write in their diary, tag and notify 7 pals, and on it goes....
Seven things I’m thankful for:
1.) I am thankful Naps!
2.) I am thankful dad stayed by my side when I was a pup with parvo!
3.) I am thankful I had 12 years with my mom and dad!
4.) I am thankful for Bones! I loved bones, the bigger the better!
5.) I am thankful for Blankets! I loved a blanket tossed on me when I would sleep!
6.) I am thankful for Remote controlled cars! What a blast!
7.) I am thankful I was able to spend a little time with Stator and show him the ropes! Though he did drive me nuts!

6. Stator/Fatboy annoyed the crap out of me and I was pissed they got him!
7. I co-existed with a cat named Dallas for 11 years and she didn't like me till our last year together,(I think my size scared her) we died 3 days apart from each other.

Evo,
What a sweet man you were Evo! Never a mean bone in you.
I remember when Matt was only a few years old and you kept following him, I guess it annoyed him and I looked over the counter in time to see him punch you square in the face! I was HOT! I grabbed his little arm and marched him to his room! I told him not to come out until he had thought about what he had done.......Well he fell asleep and when I asked him if he had thought about it he walked out of his room and went eye to eye with you and said "I am sorry Evo" You licked his face with your forgiveness. That's my Bigman, unconditional love!
You had such an effect on everyone who knew you. If not for you Yawny might have never found his forever home! The Flynns dog sat you while we were away for a couple days.....When we returned they started making trips to the shelter to fine another you. I think they came very close with Yawny but there will never be another you! The worlds best snuggler!
You were such a wonderful pup that we thought two of you would be better then one! Well Stator is NOT an Evo! We love him very much but now know just cause a dog is a Lab doesn't mean it's an Evo!
Today is 3 years since you left us and 3 years 3 days since Dallas left! What a horrible week it was.
I know what you are doing there at the bridge! You are laying in a sunny spot soaking it in!
I hope when my time comes that I do get to see you again, That would be heaven! We love and miss you so much Evo! Mom
