Arrival Story:
My husband and I went to the pound. I don't know why. I really didn't want another dog but if I were to get one, it would definitely have to be a small female of some sort. This particular day, there were two small chi mix girls. One was black and tan and looked alot like Taz but tiny. She looked purebred Chi. The other one was Abby. They were both timid and neither one wanted to come to the front of their kennel.I knelt down for quite some time and Abby was the first one to come say hi. She seemed friendly, but scared. Her fur was not in the greatest condition and she was skinny. I asked the kennel person if I could see her outside of the kennel. I picked her up and held her for awhile and thought she seemed sweet. I went to put her back in her kennel to go home and talk myself out of it, but Abby hung on for dear life. She didn't want to go back in there and as I looked at her small space, the urine soaked newspapers on the bottom of the kennel and her ratty little bed, I couldn't bear to put her back in there.

Bio:
Apparently Abby had a chip and her name was previously Tami. Since I have a sister named Tammie, that was just not going to work. The chip was registered to someone in California... VERY far from here. How she made the trek halfway across the country, I do not know. It seems she was loved at some point, but she's obviously had some hard times too. She does have a few issues, but she is very sweet, does great on a leash, is already house trained and it looks like she's already been spayed. The vet thinks the green mark on her belly is a spay tattoo. She really is a little gem. And to think I didn't want another dog.
