 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: March 28th 2003
 Likes: barking, chasing cows

Pet-Peeves: cows too close to mommy, Sargent (sometimes)

Favorite Toy: tug-of-war rope

Favorite Food: anything that is meant for Sabrina or Sargent, mommy's homemade dogfood

Favorite Walk: the hills on our farm

Best Tricks: getting into the pickup for a ride, chasing cows, positioning himself for a rump rub, flipping food dish to ask to be fed

Arrival Story: I was looking for a pup to replace one that just died. Pepper was a 2 mo old pup bred on a goat farm. His 8 mo old older brother, Solomon, aggressively wanted to come home with me, so I picked up both. Solomon had to be rehomed due to risk he might kill our Aussie.

Bio: Pepper is a very macho male. He's a fierce guardian, still with some overexhuberance of puppyhood. He's not quite 2 yet. He's learned to love being petted and rubbed, especially on the rump. He will sit his rear end on a chair, couch, or back seat in the pickup. When he sits in the front seat, he sometimes sits like a human. He works hard at warding off intruders by pre-emptive barking.

Well, the vet told mom to keep me in at night so I won't stress my left foreleg. 2 bones in one of my left digits are a bit separated and that hurts some. The vet said I also have injured my left front ankle a bit above the paw. So, that plus some arthritis makes me limp.
I got a bad infection in my left hind leg and was put on heavy duty antibiotics for 30 days, and that cleared up well, so I'm back on duty but only during the day. On hot days I knock and tell mom I want to come inside to cool off. I get lots more special privileges, so I guess having to stay inside at night isn't so bad.

Well, I'm really beginning to think that Sabrina is not coming back. It's been a long time since I last saw her or heard her bark. She looked good, but I know she was sick. She still stood guard at night with me. Last time I remember seeing her was in summer. Daddy goes away but comes home; I don't think Sabrina is coming home.
When she got sick, I got a hurt paw and started limping. I still have my limp. Some days it's not bad, but other days it's really not good. Since mom took Sabrina and me to the vet, mom has kept me inside at night so I don't get to go on long treks with Zorro. Zorro and Chewie are out every night guarding the cows without me. Well, I can't complain. Staying in at night seems to prevent my hurt foot from hurting so much.
After Sabrina disappeared, mom broke her elbow. That's not good for a 69 year old lady to do to herself. It's been a rough year. I hope your year's been better.

Well, mom and dad brought home these two little furballs last year in July. Now they are 16 months old.
Chewie's a joy to play fight with. She doesnt run as much as Zorro, but she's a good girl and great backup for me at night.
Zorro's not compliant with mom like he should be, so that's a bit of a challenge, but I have to leave it to mom to show him he has to be compliant. He's very active and runs a lot, and he's bigger than I am, but I'm still the alpha male and I make sure he remembers that... just like Sabrina makes sure both pups know she's the alpha dog.
But they are good kids and will grow up to be good adult pyrs.
See ya! Time for me to nap. My age is catching up with me along with a bit of arthritis.
