Arrival Story: I found Sushi from a reputable Breeder in Kingston, Ontario (Cusona Kennels). I originally wanted a female, which would have come from Alberta, but it didn't work out. As fate would have it, I got a boy and I have absolutely no regrets. Sushi is a terrific dog!
We have 2 Shiba groups:

Bio: Sushi is a wonderful dog. He is full of energy and provides a good laugh every single day. He is a very happy dog, that loves his "spoilings" aka being petted/massaged. He loves to play hide & seek, sometimes fetch, but mainly doing the Shiba 500 in the backyard.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
The vet says I have struvite crystals. I'm now on my 2nd round of medication, which Mom hides in some food. She's very sneaky, just like a Shiba! Mom had to change my diet also. First she tried switching me to a kibble that was lower in protein, but it didn't seem to help, so now I"m eating prescription kibble and canned food. Mom said it was either try that or I would need to have an x-ray (which means I'd be sedated) to see if the crystals have formed into stones. We're hoping I won't need to do that. I'm good to the vet when I have to visit, but not when I have to stay for awhile. I miss my Mom!! I hope this new stuff works. It tastes yummy at least!!
Thank you Jake & Tikka, for tagging me! This sounds like fun!
Here are the rules (Hint: Copy and paste the rules so you don't have to type them again):
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to pmail them and tell them that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or you could send them a rosette announcing they've been tagged!
So here are 7 fun facts about me...
1. I love to hipcheck other dogs and to hide underneat them, hehe.
2. My best playmate is our cat, Tatiana.
3. The gerbils scare me.
4. Every night, I paw at my folded up comforter, so I can sleep inside of it, all cuddled up.
5. I spin when I am excited!
6. When my Mom and Dad are eating something I want, I sit in front of them and move my mouth so it looks like I'm eating too.
7. Give me scratches by my tail, and I do a somersault on the floor.
I am tagging Data Seven, Teddy, Deaus, Pepper, Phoebe, Sushi (a different one!), Mika & Tsuki (they have 1 dogster page).
Two weeks from tomorrow, my Shiba pals from the Toronto Shiba Inu Meetup group and myself are heading to Toronto to take part in the 4th Annual K9 Rescue Me Walkathon. There will be 20 rescues pariticipating to promote dog rescue and to raise money for each rescue.
The Shibas will be walking in support of Shiba Rescue GTA, http://www.shibarescuegta.ca of which my Mom and her good pal, Lynn co-founded together. The group is non-profit and any monies raised all goes to the Shibas needing their help.
Would you like to help? If you can't walk with us, you can donate online here:
You might have to copy & paste the link into your browser. There is a pull down menu so you can choose Shiba Rescue GTA.
We hope that you would like to help. If you DO want to walk with us, then ROOHOO!!!! We'd love it if you did! For all the information, go to this site and you can print out a generic pledge form (when you hand it in to the Registration table, be sure to tell them it is for Shiba Rescue GTA please):
