Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Gotcha Date: December 17th 2010
 Birthday: September 19th 2010
Likes: Pets/belly rubs, treats, people (closely followed by dogs), running off-leash, cuddling on the sofa, laying in the sun.

Pet-Peeves: When I take away toys that he's wrecked beyond salvaging... and BATHS!

Favorite Toy: Can he shred it? Does it have stuffing? Does it squeak? If you answered 'yes' to any of the above, he's ALL over it!

Favorite Food: Cheese cubes, apple slices and cheerios.

Favorite Walk: Forget walking - all he wants to do is RUN!

Best Tricks: Too many to list here! Favourites are dance!, limp, bang!, bring me your leash and bow.

Arrival Story: Tobi is my very first dog. We never had any growing up, and I never cared much at the time. However, when my significant other got a puppy, I started to grow jealous of the relationship they had. We lived far apart and he would tell me about how nice it was to have something to hug and snuggle on the couch with, and my dog search began.
I always found Corgis very charming dogs, and this made them my first choice when I started searching for a dog. However, I had a very hard time finding any that were anywhere near me, since they are rare in my province. I spent a long time looking and was just about ready to give up on finding one when I came across Tobi and his littermates. My boyfriend, his puppy and I made the two hour drive out to meet them. Tobi stood out from his brothers, and I decided to take him home with me. I haven't looked back since. He is a constant blessing in my life and I love every day we spend together. I couldn't have asked for a better dog.

Personality: Tobi has fully come into himself at this point, I think. With age, he became more wary of strangers and is a very devoted watchdog who will 'huff' at the smallest noises. He has never shown aggression towards anyone, and will tolerate visitors with gusto as long as a proper introduction is made.
He is extremely loyal to his family and loves anyone who will give him a belly rub. He loves to sleep on the bed at our feet where he is best able to guard us while we sleep. Despite his quirks, I couldn't have asked for anything better. He is so loyal and devoted - all he wants in life is what's best for me (and the occasional piece of ham) and I love him to death.

Hello everyone!
Mom's been busy with real life so I haven't been able to sniff around on dogster much. Things are pretty normal anyway. Riot, the new puppy, is now about 8 months old and has adjusted pretty well. Grandmummy took him on as her own, so I'm still the apple of mommy's eye (thank goodness). Anyway, Riot can be a bit annoying sometimes - he loves to steal my toys and keep them in a big pile and is quite tenacious when I try to get anything back, but he is mostly alright to be around. When mom isn't around and I get cold or lonely, I like to go sleep next to him. He's the perfect size for a pillow and quite cuddly. :)
Mom's brother keeps coming down to visit and it makes me soooo happy! He is probably one of my favourite people ever. He always brings me something nice. They keep having all these discussions about 'moving'... whatever that is. I have a feeling things are going to get mixed up again soon.
Anyway, not much else to say. It just snowed and I want to bug mom to go to the park - I loooove snow! I bounce through the snow like a bunny and like to eat it, and it makes mom laugh. We both have a good time.
Bye for now!
Tail wags & kisses,
Tobi

Wow! Mom told me this morning that my diary is featured today. I am honored! =) We were surprised because not only are we just coming back from a hiatus, but she has mostly been writing in the new kid's diary. *sigh*
So, my 'big surprise' came home around 9 pm on Friday. It took me a minute to figure out what mom was carrying, even though I met her at the door when she came home, because Dex's dad and Grandmummy moved in close to coo and fawn over it. When she showed me... Well, yes, I was surprised. But happy? NO! Why did she bring home another dog? Wasn't I enough fun for her? I was pretty peeved and was very rude to the puppy every time he tried to say hi, even though he seemed to feel as out of place as I did. He hid for the majority of the night, probably largely because I gave him a piece of my mind every time he came too close. Mom seemed to think I'd be happy about the addition and kept giving me grief when I didn't try to be polite, let alone make friends.
It's been 6 days now and I'm starting to adjust. Grandmummy adores the new puppy and is usually the one who hangs out with him. I still get big walks, I still eat first, I still get to sleep on the bed with mom and she usually does not make me spend direct time with the pup if I don't want to. The puppy always tries to start playing with me, and I don't really have a lot of patience for kids, but I'll humour him sometimes and am learning to go easy on him since he's so small. All in all, I suppose it's alright. I just got worried when I thought mom might be replacing me, but really, who would want to replace someone as good-looking and sweet as me? ;)
Anyway, I hear breakfast. Seems like it's time to go. Will post again soon. Welcome to any newcomers and I hope you enjoy your visit =)
Tail wags & kisses,
Tobi

Welllll, my first birthday has come and gone. It was an awesome day. We went for a big long walk, took a swim in the creek, and I had a special dinner made for me with gravy, shredded cheese and crumbled treats mixed in. Yummmm...
The summer was kind of chaotic so I haven't been around very much. Mom and I moved and we now live with a different lady that she keeps calling 'Grandmummy' who is very nice to me. Grandmummy gives me lots of treats for doing tricks and likes taking me for little walks to see neighbours and the people at the corner store. I guess I like it well enough, but I wish the cats would play with me! I like them plenty, but I keep being scolded for being too rough on them, and they run away most of the time that they see me. I miss having Dexter to pick on. I still get to visit him lots, but it's not the same as having a buddy here. Mom has been a bit worried because I have been a bit restless and bored without someone to play with.
Mom keeps saying she has a big surprise coming, and apparently it's now coming today. I'm not really sure what to think. More toys? Who knows? - Not me! I'll let you know when I do, though.
Mom has been more concerned about my manners (or lack thereof) on the leash, so we are going to go do some work outside. Back later!
