Arrival Story:
Ok...I had lost my Border Collie of nearly 19 years December 2009. Wanted a new dog but knew I would know him if I saw him....so I just waited. So, June 2010, we went to The Route 66 Car show in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Yes, I said CAR SHOW. We were walking around and there in the center of the show downtown Sapulpa were 2 lil girls with these BIG WHITE Fluffballs ! OHHH, they were so adorable!!! Well, Riley & I met. I asked what kind of dog were the puppies and she said Great Pyrnees. My first reaction was "oh, I don't want a big dog". and we walked away. I looked back and Riley was staring at me. All my friends kept sayin,"you know you want him"....Needless to say, yes, I went back , got me a puppy. We walked around the show the rest of the day with this lil pup in an O'Reilly basket! Thus, the name Riley came about.... On the way home we stopped at a Nice Steakhouse, Avalon in Tulsa, Ok. They were nice enough to let us sit on the patio with my new baby....and here we are! Riley just got diagnosed as an Epileptic. We just started Primidone and have had one small seizure since. Anyone with any info on this awful disease, epilepsy, please fill me in!!!! I LOVE my Great Pyr!
