"Hi! My name's Ripken, what's your name? Wanna be friends?! I'm a young boy who is super sweet and handsome (if I do say so myself!). I've been with my foster family for a couple weeks now, and I have really started to come out of my shell! I'm happy and playful and super snuggly, just like a cute Boxer boy like me should be. I've got some pretty cool nicknames since I'm so fun to be around, my foster family calls me Rip, Rippy, Rip-a-roonie, and Rippy-rooo! So far I've shown them that I'm good with kids, they have a toddler that walks and runs all over the place (don't tell him, but I think he walks kinda funny!). I'm very careful not to knock him down or play too rough around him, but I do sometimes get his toys confused with mine. I listen very well though and Mama just has to say ""no sir, not for Ripken!"" and I leave it alone. I'm perfect on a leash and don't need a halter or anything to keep me from pulling, I just stay close to you and enjoy the scenery. I'm also super smart and know sit, down, come, off, leave it, and quiet--that's a lot for a young boy like me! I LOVE the other dogs that are here, I have a Boston Terrier sister and a Boxer brother, we play ALL day long! Then when it's time for a nap we all curl up together on the dog bed, I really like to have them around to make me feel safe and comfortable. I'd LOVE a fur brother or sister in my new home! Mama says that I can't go to a forever family that doesn't have another dog for me to hang out with, because I get nervous when I'm by myself and I have lots of energy that only another dog can help me burn. I'm not sure how I feel about cats, but Mama says she will find one to see if he wants to play with me too. My foster family keeps telling me that I'm to die for and that they don't think it will take long for my forever family to find me. I'm not quite sure what that means yet, but it sounds very exciting! I hope you have a Merry Christmas and Santa brings you lots of good things, maybe we can bring in the New Year together!
