Gotcha Date: October 22nd 2009 Birthday: July 24th 2009 Likes: Swimming, chasing the cats, and our daughter Pet-Peeves: none so far Favorite Toy: anything he can get his mouth on Favorite Food: EVERYTHING! he once ate my shaving razor! gave us quite a scare! Favorite Walk: he could walk all day! he loves being outside Best Tricks: none really Arrival Story: Vader was abandoned as a little puppy in a field, with no food, water of shelter. He is the smartest dog we have ever had! The very first night we brought him home i gave the command to sit, just to see if he might know it and he SAT! And he went right in his crate at night with no coaxing or whining, he was potty trained in less than a week..like 3 days really!....he had to have belonged to someone, but they just dumped him and another puppy off in the woods to starve... He came to live with us on a temporary basis till we could find who he belonged to or find him a forever home....little did we know he was already there.A few months after we got him, our youngest daughter fell and was knocked unconcious. After we brought her home from the hosp. Vader was by her side 24 hours a day...now mind you he was still a puppy, full of puppy energy...about 6 months old at the time, but he would lay with her on the couch all day long and follow her to the bathroom, he would lay by the tub when she was taking a bath...how could we let him go after that....how can you repay that....thats love right there. They have such a amazing bond...even now that she is better he still stays by her side...She calls him her "sweat pea"...oh to have a friend like that...
I found this quote online and it really describe's their relationship...
"His ears were often the first thing to catch my tears"~
