Arrival Story:
I was buying my first home and decided it would be a lot more homey and safe with a dog. I had just put my shih tzu to sleep after 19 wonderful years together a few months back and was ready to love again. I looked in all the shelters and finally saw homers picture on pet finder. He was maked urgent at the local pound. I fell in love with him right then. The next day I went to see him and he was amazing. All the other dogs were barking and making all kinds of fuss but he just sat there politely waging his tail asking " did you come to take me home?" I took him for a walk and fell even more in love with this sweet guy when he put his head on my shoulder. I went to tell the lady at the desk I wanted him but they could not find his paper work. The warden came out and found it with BITTER written in big red letters. I panicked that ment he could only go to a rescue! But the warden was nice and said that looked like the vets hand righting not his and asked if I had taken him out and if he was ok. I said he was amazing and that I really wanted to take him but had to wait till I closed on my house in three days. He said no problem they would hold him free of charge. he was just glad he would be getting a home! I went to visit him every day till I was finally able to bring him home.

Bio:
The day I went to get him they told me his story. A lady has dropped him off after hours tying him to the fence. Later her mother came in to identify the dog and said her boyfriend had been badly abusing him. To this day he is not to fond of men but if you give him time he worms up. He is a runner and a jumper. My little 4 foot fence is not even a challenge for him as I soon found out. Three days after having him I had already almost lost him twice having to chase him all over the neighborhood. Then he decided he liked this game of chase and jumped right over my fence and off down the road. I hardly had time to blink before he was out of sight. All the other times I had been able to see where he as going but this time he was lost... I searched for over two hours before finally going home and sending out the alert. He had a tag and micro chip so I just had to hope someone nice found him before he got hurt. I opened my back gate and dogie door on the porch just in case he found his way home, but him only being there three days I was not to hopeful. After three days and no sign of him I was beginning to feel hopeless. I missed him like mad. The house felt so empty and loansom. I still could not bring my self to close the gate though. I would not give up on him that easy. At six in the morning I woke up to this loud barking. At first I thought it was just my nabors dog but it was so loud and sounded like it was conning from the other direction. My heart smiled a beat to think maybe it was homer but I had never heard homer so much as make a sound let alone such a roaring bark. I went down stairs to the greatest sight ever! There he was sitting all pretty on the porch! He was thirsty and dirty and oh so smelly but I did not care! I huged and kissed and cuddled with him all day long! I had never even shown him the doggie door before he ran off and still he found his way home and in. If that is not a true testament to how we are supposed to be together I don't know what is. He is now sentience to a leash even in the back yard until we get this recall thing down. I know he can find his way back now but im not tacking any chances of loosing my hansom boy again. UPDATE: I now have a 6 foot privacy fence with a 4 foot concrete trench surrounding the property so no more jumping or digging!

So moms brought home another one... at least it is just one this time that last litter was a bit ridiculous. Hes ok for a pup, playful definitely has a lot of energy! At least I wont have to play mother to this one ether he knows all his base manners, just need a little calming down and focus is all. He barks a bit to much, gets impatient to quickly and he tried to take my spot on the bed but I told him what was what. I dont think he will be to bad to have around.. For a LITTLE wile! Oh geese, I think I am actuly getting used to mom bringing home charity cases...

Im still smarter!

My little sis is not so little any more... We are the same height and lingth and I only have 9 lbs on her now. Mom said this would happon one day but I must say I was not quite perpaired for it. And shes only half way to grown! Oh well she may get a lot bigger tan me but I got the brain power on her still. She may out run me in the yard but I know the short cuts so I still always win. It is a bit more fun to wrstle now too. And I think no matter how big she gets I will be able to take her, I know her ticklish spots he he!

I found a cool spot where I can eat as much as I want! I haven't let mom in on it yet, its a secret. When ever she is not looking I sneak off. She tried to be clever and keep me leashed or on the run when she went inside but I figured out how to get my collar off yesterday! I don't know why she makes such a big fuss... sure I smell a little when I come home but I always do come home. OK maybe the first time I was gone a little long, (3 days) but I had lots of exploring to do! this time I knew just where to go to get something fun and yummy! I was home by morning, even in time to say good bye before she went to work! I saw grandmas car heading to our house and I knew I had to get back before she got there or I would miss her treats! Mom said I made it just in time! I dont know how soon it will be before I get to go back to my secret place, mom put a harness on me... But I am sure I can figure out how this thing works too!
