Rainbow Bridge Reflections

14 years at the Bridge...

I remember it like it was yesterday. My mom took me to the vet and helped me cross over to the Rainbow Bridge. I got off the train and was a young, healthy boy....I felt like I was 4 years old!! My headache was gone!! AROOOOOooooooooooooo......I ran around the bridge and sniffed the air. I liked it here! As the years have gone by, I have made great furrever friends and have the best girlfriend a husky could ever have in my Cookie. I sent both of my moms new dogs to love and cherish. Those are 2 lucky dogs! Josephine Doggio is an Italian dog who lives in Upstate NY with my mom Lynn and has the best life. Sunny (my little clone) lives with mom Deb in PA and most of you know how happy and spoiled she is...BOL!!

It has been fun watching my family these past 14 years...I do miss them though and look forward to the day when I get to greet them in my special husky way.

Mom's garden/RB memorial

Mom has been furry busy landscaping this Spring. They have a big slope/ditch in the backyard that protects the house from all the runoff from the big hill. Mom wanted to plant lots of groundcover on the bank. She decided to go with Blue Rug Junipers. The peeps went and got 13 and started the project. It was lots of work. Mom decided to name each Juniper for a RB angel up here with me. She also planted ME...a beautiful Crabapple tree. The 13 Junipers are in their new homes and are growing beautifully. They even have berries so far. Their names are: Rusty, Cookie, Mulligan, Sheba, Jarvis, Louie, Ernie, Abby, Cheyenne, Moses, Kenny, Tim and Hannah. Carmella the Lilac bush was planted just to the left of the Junipers. Then there are stone steps and a nice bridge that allows Sunny to go over the ditch (not that she can't jump it) and into the woods. To the right of the bridge, mom planted Sydney (my sis), a neon flash Spirea, then ME (crabapple tree), then Daisy (another Spirea) and then Pongo (another Crabapple). Just last night, the peeps planted Elvis, a dwarf Maple tree. Spike and Sam (baby Spruce trees) are still in their pots and waiting to go in the ground. Mom is planning on naming the next "female" plants Cleo and Kiska. We think they will probably be beautiful Salvia plants. There are 2 human memorials there too. Moms co-worker Jack, who just died a year ago, is a lovely Day Lily and Barbara the Maple tree was named for one of moms patients who died on the day the Barbara was planted.

Cookie and I and the rest of the angels really enjoy having our spirits in those plants. Mom talks to them and waters them daily. They are getting a lot of love. Mom is off to upload some pictures on my page now so you can see how beautiful we are.

I hope today is extra special for the prettiest GSD in all of the Rainbow Bridge. Cookie and I have rented 100 jetski's and we are going to tear Husky Lake UP! The after lake party is going to be like one we've never seen before.

We all love you Cheyenne!,
Stryker, Cookie and the gang.

P.S...I'm sure your mom can feel you looking over her today. Call us when you come back from your favorite watching spot.
