Arrival Story:
I worked at kingman animal hospital as a kennel tech. One day this golden retriever mix was brought in by a guy. Apparently she darted in front of this guys' car and he hit her. As a respectful and responsible person he brought her in for her wounds. The owners of the dog was called. Chloe didn't have any broken bones but her left hind leg was scraped all the way down to the point where her tendons, ligaments and part of her tibia, fibia, and part of her ankle was showing. She also had a deep gaping wound on her front right paw. She had some small minor wounds on her other leg. The owner came in and told the dr he doesn't want any special treatments done to the dog. He just wanted her legs to be wrapped up. So for the next few weeks she came in daily to get her bandages changed. One day the owner of chloe signed her over to the animal hospital cuz he couldn't take care of the vet bills anymore. I had been wanting a dog for awhile so i went to my boss and asked her if i could adopt chloe since everyone else in the hospital claimed they had too many animals. This sweet girl became mine and was taught how to do a sugar wrap and had to do sugar wraps on her left hind leg and front right leg every day till the wounds healed. No longer would she be some dog tied up in a backyard with out shelter. No longer will she be some damn dog. No longer will she get hit over and over for something she doesn't understand. She is now happily spoiled and a very loving sweet girl. Can't see how anyone can mistreat a sweety pie like her. She's been with me since november 2006.
