I don't like anyone who wants to share my food.

Favorite Toy:
Toy! Toy? You must be kidding! I DO NOT do toys.

Favorite Food:
YES FOOD! I must have a drop of olive oil on kibble or I refuse to eat it.

Favorite Walk:
From the bed, to her dish, to outside, and back to bed.

Best Tricks:
I "Sing" (screams) for my supper and you best feed me when I do! But now I forget that I have just eaten so we hear a lot of singing around here now.

Arrival Story:
Lady Bug was adopted from Dallas/Ft. Worth Pug Rescue in 2007. She was an elderly stray. Nobody ever came looking for her even though she was obviously loved at one time and house trained. It has been our gain. She had a wonderful foster mom who made sure she was well loved. We are so grateful! We changed her name to Lady Bird so she would always remember being a fine Texas Lady.

Lady Bird was blind when we got her. She went deaf last year. Fall 2010 she had 2 strokes and died after each one. She is stubborn and her job wasn't done here so she came back both times. When she recovered, she could hear better but now has dementia or pugmentia. It all just adds to her charm. Seniors are such a blessing in so many ways but you probably won't believe that until you experience it for yourself.

Forums Motto:
Who Rescued Who?

Lady Bird is a little lovey! She loves attention and to be in a lap but she is too sweet to be demanding. She is silky soft and extra cuddly/snuggly.

Lady Bird rules the house, between naps!

I went to the bridge two weeks ago today. Many of you know I was fighting cancer and I gave it my all. The fight weakened me and I got very tired and suddenly stopped enjoying life and family. Mom hoped I would rally like after my strokes but I was just too tired.

Mom and Sam just held me and loved me as much as possible. They tempted me with treats and all the things I loved. When they set me down, Sapphire and Roscoe took turns snuggling with me. It was good but I was dog tired.

They talked about letting me go but in the end it was me who decided when. Ever the Gracious Lady, I made one last trip outside to do my necessaries, came in, laid down and took my leave.

I shall miss you all, but you will forever be in my heart.

With Love,
Lady Bird Johnson
