   Leave a bone for Alaska

Laska, Munchkin, Nosella ( she has to know what is going on!), Baby girl, Mommy's prettiest girl, NO!, Silly girl, Munchkin butt

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

She loves to PLAY PLAY PLAY, and SNOW SNOW SNOW, and good side scratches those turn her into jelly! Romping in the water at the river, and hiking with mom at the resivour.

She HATES Baths, and Snowmen, they creep her out!

Favorite Toy:
Her stuffed Koala bear, or what is left of him, the "Thing", any kind of ball, or anything that Aspen is remotely intersted in.

Favorite Food:
She love peanut butter, but she only gets that in a Kong once in a while when she has been a VERY good girl. She loves it when I make her an omlette, with meat in it, and she loves greenies!

Favorite Walk:
She loves to go to the baseball field and run, the resivour, West Hartford Center (that is where 3 dog bakery is) Farmington River for a swim, anywhere that she can run full speed.

Best Tricks:
I think her best trick is just looking cute, when you know she is up to something, which is 99% of the time!

Arrival Story:
I found Alaska in a pet store, which had horrible conditions. I saw her, and fell in love! I got to talking to the lady there and she told me that she was getting ready to go back to the "breeder" aka puppy mill, because she hadn't sold and she was almost 4 mo. old. So I couldn't leave her there, knowing what would happen to her if she went back to the puppy mill. The thought of this sweet baby being bred for the rest of her life had me almost in tears. So I asked if I could "look" at her. They put us in this little "box". I sat down in the floor, and she was scared of me. She walked all the way around the box, leaning aganist the wall, and she came next to me, put her head under my arm and kissed me on the nose. That was it, the deal was sealed. So I bought her and brought her home. You could imagine my b/f surprise when I come home with this big bundle of fur. She was 4 months old when I got her. I guess that no one else wanted her! So now she is mine, and I love her with all of my heart!!!!

Oh that up close picture, that is the very first night that we brought her home, as you can see she wasn't little, and certainly didn't have any room at the pet store!

Hi, I know that it has been awhile, but I have been a very busy girl! It has been snowing here (except for today, where it rained all day) and I have been LOVING the snow. Mom and Dad have been taking us to the baseball field every morning so that we can RUN! I LOVE IT! They were shoveling snow the other day and had me and Aspen on our runs. They were throwing shovels of snow at us, it was awesome! I was jumping up and trying to eat all of the snow, but it was alot.

Aspen was even playing too, and he doesn't play much, but he loves the snow too. We have made some new friends. I guess that alot of people have seen us down at the field all of the time, and they started showing up with their dogs. It is great, like a huge play group.

I did get into trouble though since the last time I wrote, well more times than I can count, but the latest is that I decided that I wanted to chew the surround sound wire. It tasted pretty good, so I chewed another one. Dad discovered me enjoying my snack, and he wasn't very happy at all. But Dad is a huge softie, and if you give him the sad eyes, he caves pretty easy.

Well that is all for now, I think that mom is going to take us for a walk before it starts to pour again.

Until next time

I had to get a shot!

Well normally I LOVE to go to the vet, but today was a differant story. I had this thing growing on the top of my foot, and it was bothering me. Mom told me that she was going to take me to the vet to find out what it was. I heard mom on the phone, and she was saying "It looks like a giant red wart." I don't know what a wart is, but if that is what this thing is, it is gross! Well I was tired of this growth, so when mom finally took that damn e-collar off, i saw my chance, and I just chewed it off. It bled ALOT. So mom tried to clean it up, and we were off to the vet. I didn't want to show them my foot. It is fine! But finally Dr. Ducor got it from me, and then he said the magic word "SHOT!" I hate shots! so my mom and the nice girl started giving me belly scratches which are my favorite! I should have known what was comming. Dr. Ducor grabbed my foot and gave me a shot right on the boo boo! I DID NOT like that at all. He told my mom that it would make all of inflamation go out of it, but that thing might come back, and then they would have to cut it off and send it somewhere to make sure that it wasn't cancer!

After the shot, I held up my paw and stuck it out at the dr. and said "aaaarrrfff"" I just wanted him to know that it hurt! Everyone was laughing and they thought it was funny, I was being serious! So then it was over and I got to come home, but it doesn't itch or hurt anymore, so I guess it was worth it. Mom seemed really worried about it. I don't know why I took care of the problem before we had to go to the vet!

Well off for a good night sleep on my NEW princess bed!!! (I think mom is trying to bribe me, I think that the "aaarrrfff" made her feel bad! *wink*)

Making new friends!

Well Mom has been slacking and she hasn't written to tell you all about what has been going on! Mom had her wisdom teeth (whatever those are) pulled out, so she has been under the weather, and hasn't been able to take me and my brother Aspen for to many long walks. So Dad has been taking care of that, (he isn't as good at it as Mom though sssshhhh)

Mom took us to the over to the resiviour. We went on a REALLY long hike. I was so tired! But it was great! I met 2 new huskies, they were really friendly, we played and played! Nikki (the red and white one) I really like, I want to see him again soon! It has been really hot here lately, so mom has been taking us outside, and spraying us with waterhose. I hated it at first, but I realized that it really does make you feel better! A couple of nights it was so hot, Mom and Dad took me and Aspen into the bedroom, where the AC is and it is nice and cold in there. We got to sleep in there and I was starting to really like it. But it cooled off, so we are back in our crates.

Mom says that she can't trust me.......there is just to much yummy stuff to chew on in there. They tried to "Alaska proof" the bedroom, but you know that I found something to get into. I made short work of dad's new Nike, he wasn't very happy, but I gave him the sad look and he caved! Mom was a whole other story, the sad look doesn't work on her as well. Oh well, I am off to sleep on my new bed!!!

Night all !!
