I'm good.

Nothing new to talk about. I am doing OK. Honey has a baby you know. I can't have babies. Mom said it would have killed me to have babies because of the heart worms I have. My kidneys are OK. My pee pee is not too dark now but still not normal. Mom stall makes me take med. and she gives me food not like my friends get. It's good so I don't complain about it. I am just livng each day that God sends me. Actualy I'm doing really good. :)

A puppy!

It's a good thing I'm feeling good. We have a puppy. A new born puppy! It's Honey's baby and she is real tiny. I heard mom telling dad all about it. Dad went to see it too. They won't let us go see it. I think this means I'm kind of an Aunt. I think so. I can't have babies. Mom said there are too many unwanted pups and dogs in the world who have no home so she had me spayed. She said Honey is going to get spayed too. She was pregnant when mom found her and Dew at the pound. She had Dew spayed already. She is real serious about that. BUT she is going to take care of the puppy and find her a good home. This sure is a busy house with a baby in it.

Awwwwwww!

Well Mom called my vet today and told him how my peepee is not so brown as it has been for months. Awwwwwww He said that was good BUT I still gotta eat Rx food and I still gotta take medications. Awwwwwww I was sure I could be like my friend and eat the same food and not need meds every day. I am very disapointed. :( ~~Tail between my legs~~~ Mom gave me the big pep talk. We watched a movie together and she cuddled with me and she said that I have to be patient and trust God to hear our prayers and keep doing what the vet says.I felt better after we snuggled. I think mom was a little sad. I think she thought the vet would get excited and want to see me but he didn't. Mom said if the things we are doing is making me better then we sure don't want to stop. I guess she's right. We sure had a nice cuddle time today. It was wonderful. I love my Mom. I really love my Mom and my Dad too.

I am never leaving...

I am never leaving here. NEVER! I can't leave my Mom. She is so funny. I can't believe her. Guess what. She saw me pee today and she went nuts! She called Dad to see and was so excited. I thought she was going to cry. She kept saying "Look Fred, Look at her Pee pee". Gee Mom! She said it is lighter in color and she thinks that is a good sign. She thinks my special food and limited treats are making my kidneys better. I still have to take the kidney support and heart medacine every day though. It's OK cause she "hides" it in some yummy canned dog food. I act like I don't know it's inside so she will be happy. ~~tail wags~~ Anyway I bet I'm the only dog ever to make her Mom happy cause she peed. heeheehee My Mom is a nut! Oh and get this. She's calling my vet to tell him about my peepee tomorrow!!!

Adoption Events

Mom and Dad took some of us for adoption showings Friday and Saturday. They didn't take me. Bella was mad cause she wanted to go too. NOT ME! Ididn't want to go. I love my home and I don't want to get adopted. I thought about it a lot and Mom talked to me and we are just going to forget about me EVER leaving here. Mom said I can stay as long as I live. ~~tail wags~~
I'm feeling good lately. Mom says I need to start eating a little less. She said it's bad for my heart to get over weight. She said my heart doesn't work as well if I am over weight. OK. I hope she doesn't make me go hungry.

Feeling better

I'm feeling better. Don't know whay and Mom is going nuts trying to figure out what makes me go up and down. She is measuring my food and won't let me have treats. She is watching me drink and it's embarrassing but she watches me peepee. Oh Geeee. She said she needs to see if everything is OK. I really feel good. I ran and played with my friends tonight and had a great time. I can get the kong from Bella. ~~~tail wags~~~

Poor little Josie...

she's back home. The lady called and Dad went and picked her up tonight. Josie told me she tried to play with the little dog named Molly. Molly didn't like Josie and was being mean to her. The other dog was ok but she is old so she just sleeps a lot. It was not bad for Josie there. She is so friendly that she kept trying to get Molly to play but Molly snapped and grawled at her every time. The lady liked Josie a lot but said she would not let Molly be ugly to Josie so was sending her back. I don't thik Josie is upset at coming back. I'm kind of glad she's back. I don't want anyone to be mean to her. She really is sweet.

It's scarey! Pop, Pop, Boom, Bang! Mom said it's fireworks and it won't hurt us. We are all upset about it. We are all inside with Mom and Dad and if we have to go out to potty I hope Mom comes with us. 4th of July is a noisy holiday. Mom said it's the 235th birthday of our country and that's a lot to celebrate.

Saturday

It was sooooo hot today. All of us just stayed inside where the air conditioner makes it cool. I heard thunder far off but it never did rain here. I think the reason I am not feeling spunky is because it's so hot.

Josie went on a home trial today. If she gets adopted I will be happy for her. I used to wish I had a home but I have decided I may just stay here. This could be the best place for me. Even if I get someone who asks for me I may..... Oh well, nobody will ask for me.

Mom just told me that nobody can ask for me because I am not ready for adoption yet. She said when I get all free of the heartworms, people will be beating down the door to get ME. She said when she shows my picture on Petfinder it is going to be just like a storm of people begging for ME. ~~~tail wags~~~ She said I am beautiful.

I'm very tired.

I don't feel so good. I just feel tired. I have been speeping a lot and I just don't feel like playing or doing anything. I still feel hungry and I eat when it is time and I eat my snacks too. Mom says I am OK I just need to rest some. I just feel tired. Very tired.

We have a new dog. She looks like Bella and Kate. She's OK. She's scared and she kind of stays to herself. If I felt better, well when I feel better I will make friends with her. Mom calls her Penny. I don't know her story yet. Maybe I'll ask her tomorrow.

Thank you Dogster. Thank ya, thank ya, thank ya as Mr Gomer used to say. :) Is this a record? I can't believe this. ~~~My tail is going to fall off from waggin so much.~~~ hee hee My life must be different. Ya, I guess it is. Who else lives in a home with 13 others and 2 humans like mine?

Mom and Dad are on the move early this morning. Bentley, Heidi, Ollis and Bella are all going to the vet. Bella's getting her teeth cleaned and her yearly too. A yearly,that's when they mash and poke you all over and then they give you shots. Ouch!Before you go for the vaccinations you have to hear Mom's speach. The one about how we need to be protcted against diseases. How pets who are not vaccinated can and often get sick and go to the bridge like Andy did. How Andy would have lived if his people had vaccinated him. How just a simple set of vaccinations can and do save our lives and how rescue and she and Dad love us and do vaccinations to save not to hurt us. The 4 she is taking today are her and Dad's dogs. They get their yearly all together. The rest of us get it as we come into rescue. This time she doesn't have to take Buddy and I know she is thinking about that.

Payton is going to the vet with them today. He is in heart worm treatment and it's time to check him to see if the old nasty things are dead yet. I have them toooooo. I wish mine would die. Mom said I would feel better if they did. Doc said I can't get the treatment cause my heart is too bad. Mom and Dad give me preventative every 14 days and that is supposed to kill them in time.....we hope. We hope and we pray it works.

Mom is going to post 4 of us as adoptable on Dogster soon. Not me though. :( Dogster helps us find homes when we are all vetted and ready. I'm not sure how adopting works. I never got adopted YET. I know it means you leave here and go to a good place where people love you and take care of you. Dogster, can you help me when Mom says I am ready? Please? I want to be someone's special little forever friend. That's really all any of us want. We want to love our people and be loved in return.. Thank you Dogster.

I gotta go. Mom's picked up our water till bella leave with them. Bella can't have anything cause she is getting her teeth cleaned. I wonder what that's like? I'll find out when she gets home.
