My Significant other was at the doctor, and the assistant was crying. she had gotten a divorce, had to move into an apartment and put her puppy from a friend of her ex's in the pound til she could come up with the money for the pet fee. It had been 30 days and they were going to put down the puppy. My s.o. said "I'll take her for a week." A week later, no money for fee, the rest is history.
