Arrival Story:
We found Red wandering our neighborhood lost. We just thought someone had let him out to run so we watched him. The next day he was still wandering around looking lost, then we notice the neighbor dogs chasing him and trying to attack him. We tried to catch him but he was to far away from us and it was getting late. The third day my husband saw him at our gate so he let him in. We posted him in the papers and looked at every notice in the stores for a lost mastiff but to no avail. So we went to the shelter we volunteer at to see if a good home could be found for him. If not He will be part of our extended pet family.

Red is a wonderful loving well mannered fella. He gets along with my other little guys. He is totally housetrained and a pure joy to be around. The more affection you give him the more he wants. Who ever had him took the time and love to teach him basic commands, housetrain him. We really wished we knew who they were so we could reunite them and let them know that he is well.

I'm a happy boy, wanna know why? For some reason I don't know I was just turned loose my owner was gone and I didn't know what to do so I just started roaming around playing with all the neighbor dogs. I managed to get some food from some but I wasn't allowed to stay. I am scared of night and wished my owner would come get me and take me home so I had to sleep where ever I could. I'm a good boy I wouldn't harm no one. So I'm still footloose and fancy free playing with anyone who will play until one day I came to this neighborhood where the dogs aren't so friendly and they ganged up on me and chased me a few blocks away. I found these fun little girls who really liked me and I liked them but their mom made them go inside I would like to come inside I wouldn't hurt anyone. I felt so lost and alone. It started raining and it was cold and I was hungry. Then across the street these nice people saw me looking lost and afraid so they took me in with them and their dogs but their dogs don't like me too much they run or try to attack me but the people there won't let them. They gave me some food and a warm place to stay. I even have my own toys.. and a big nice bed to sleep in. O how happy I am. I notice every once in a while my new Mom I call her mom since she is the one who is taking such good care of me has tears in her eyes, I try not to let her know I am watching her. But I try my best to make her happy I don't make any messes and I stay behind the gate and try not to bother the other dogs. I just want to keep everyone happy like me. Maybe one day someone will see me and know how much I want to be loved and give me a forever home like this. Then they will know I'm a HAPPY BOY!
