Arrival Story:
We went into a pet store for fish supplies when my partner saw her in this big plexiglass box. She had been in there for over three months. People could reach in and grab her whenever they liked and she hated that. But when Kerri picked her up, she just layed against her like she was home. She went home with us that day. On the way home, she was so frightened by the sound of the car that she released her bowels and bladder. There was me, Kerri (driving and holding the puppy), my mom, my sister-in-law and my 10 month old nephew in the van. My sister-in-law began to hand baby wipes and a diaper to the front seat. Once a dog marks you like that, you know she owns you!

My name is Duchess and I have have four new puppies. They are 2 weeks old today. They have gotten so big since they were born. The biggest problem I have right now is all the humans want to see my babies! Don't they understand that my puppies haven't even opened their eyes yet? They (the puppies) are very vulnerable right now and need my protection. So I bark and growl at everyone that comes near them! My humans said I can keep one so I am keeping the little girl. She looks just like me! We haven't decided what we are going to call her yet. We are waiting to see what her personality is going to be like.
