Yukon spent his first few years loving life and living on a farm in Kentucky with his beloved owner. Unfortunately his owner became very ill and could no longer care for Yukon so he was sent to the local shelter. He just happened to arrive on the day that his foster mom was visiting the shelter and his sad story and sweet demeanor melted her heart. So now he's in foster care in New Jersey with Rogers' Rescues and is awaiting his forever home. Bio: Yukon has adjusted well to life in a home with strange people, which was a fairly big adjustment since he had lost the only person he's ever known and no longer has acres of farm land to roam on at will. He's quickly bonded to his foster family and is very sweet and seeks out their affection. He's wonderful with the resident dogs and sometimes acts like a very large puppy, looking to play. He's also great with the resident cat and enjoys her affection as well. And he's house trained and crate trained and is a wonderful house guest! Although he can be unsure with new people and situations, Yukon has already shown us that he's a sweet, goofy puppy at heart who just wants to love and be loved and that he can adapt to a new home and family with just a little love, understanding, and patience.
