Arrival Story:
We adopted Stella when she was 10 weeks old. Her litter name was Maggie but that would soon change. The first year of her life she spent accompanying her new Mommie to school where she helped children learn to read. The children chose a new name for the friendly pup- Stella- and that stuck.

Bio:
Stella was our second emotional support dog--she just naturally did everything we could want a Service Dog to do except that she is afraid of thunder and fireworks so she could not be put into full service and pass her public access test. Stella is the BEST at lying close to her human family members and applying deep pressure therapy and grounding when anyone is having a really bad day. In fact, this is exactly what her human family does to help her when she is having thunder anxiety. Stella loves the water and going fishing.

Today Stella went for a walk to the wild open space with her human dad here in our wonderful neighborhood of Sunset Mesa. She goes off leash without any issues. It helped her dad to get out of the house today and get some fresh air on terra firma. They discovered an ancient juniper tree and a ton petrified wood. Stella is dad's unofficial service dog. She has been working for the whole family for over a decade and is a natural.
(the human who types this does not like talking cutsy pretending to be a dog and worse yet making up dog thoughts and emotions)
