Arrival Story:
Scrappy was found in Portsmouth, VA. His owner, Janine, along with her parents came to VA to meet him. We all felt Scrappy deserved a chance to live a good life and have a family. We brought him home with us. He fell in love with his new family as his new family fell in love with him. He is doing well in his new home. He even has a doggy friend named Jordan(dogster id: 809321). He is looking forward to a bright future.

ADOPT 2012 CONTEST

Adoption Means Everything to me. Adoption has a special meaning to me becasue I am adopted. I was once a stray living on the streets of Portsmouth, VA with no family. I was alone, with no where to go. There was a day that changed everything. A Nice Lady whose sister works with my grandpa took me in when I came up to her house. This lady treated me well, gave me food and love. Then grandpa found out about me, and that I was looking for a home, and told my Mommy, Janine about me. Mommy wanted a dog very badly after her dog Chatchi passed away in 2008, though Jordan who is my Aunt Mandy's Doggie was still living with her, he was about to move out really soon. She has Aspergers Syndrome and felt lonely without a dog. Needless to say she and her family came up to Portsmouth to meet me. It was LOVE at first sight. I came up to her, hoping she take me home. Mommy immedately said YES she will take me home with her and her family. I was so happy. When I got to my furever home, I remember getting my very first bath and it felt really great. I knew I had a family to call my own. To this day I thank my Mommy and Grandparents for giving me a chance to have a good life. I encourage everyone who wants a pet to adopt because you are saving a life. I believe every animal deserves a chance to live a good life and a good home, and most of all a family to call their own.

Wow where does the time go? It was one year ago today I got adopted and got to go to my furever home. 1 year ago today, I met my family who took me home to love and care for me. I been with my Mommy Janine and my grandpawents and my Aunt(but she dont live with me anymore.) :( ever since. It has been a great year, the best year of my life. I want to thank My family for giving me a chance to live a good and happy life. I been very happy with my family. I am grateful for having a good home and a family that loves me. Thank you for everything Mommy, Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie. The first year of my new life has been amazing. Here is to many many more great years with my family.
I also want to take the time to think of the homeless pets. I hope they all get adopted and know what its like to have a furever home and a family. I want every homeless pet to find their furever home. Every pet deserves a good home. Please pray for these animals.
I hope I will have a great Gotcha Day. I want to thank all my dogster furends who thought of me and thank you all for the gifts and messages.

Love, Scrappy
