Arrival Story: Riley was a shelter doggie who was considered "rescue only" because he did not pass the behavior test. I did not believe any of the reasons why he failed, based on what I had seen myself. I talked to a local rescue, they pulled him and I fostered him under them. The shelter had said that he was anti-social with people and other dogs. Nope. Never saw that at all, not even when he was at the shelter. He was, in fact, a playful social butterfly very well versed in dog body language -- he put my dogs to shame -- occasionally prone to excited barking. He was adopted 2 weeks later at his very first adoption event after he wooed a young couple and made immediate friends with their playful young dog.
