Arrival Story:
We had decided that we wanted to get a brother for our Yorkie Ella. For months and months we had been trying to find a male in Yorkie rescue that was near our area. After waiting for such a long time we saw an ad in the paper for a breeder in our state. She had just one little male Yorkie left. We took it as a sign and brought our little Avery home.

Avery is very goofy, a total puppy. He especially adores his big sister Ella, especially tormenting her. She doesn't seem to mind too much. They are really enjoy eachother. Avery has reached the puppy point where all he wants to do is play, play, play. He is quite the ham and LOVES attention! A few weeks after Avery came to live with us, he injured his left eye. We think he poked himself while playing. The eye swelled up terribly and he had to be rushed into the UW Veternary School in Madison, WI. They think his cornea may have ruptured and he was in danger for awhile of his entire eye bursting. The originaly diagnosis was not good. It was just heart breaking to see the poor little baby in pain. He had to have 4 different medications put in his eye every few hours and had to wear a cone on his head for a couple of weeks. The goal at that point was to simply avoid having to have the eye removed, and it was fairly definite that he would lose the sight in that eye. Within a couple of weeks the eye began to heal and to everyone's amazement he not only has kept the eye but has made a complete recovery, sight and all! It is truly a miracle. Looking at him now you would never know that he had the injury at all!

Well, you may notice in my more recent pictures that I am no longer wearing "girlie" barrettes in my hair! After months of trying to let my Mom know that I didn't like them (by always rubbing them out) I finally got my point across.... I started eating them. He he he..... So now I have a nice manly pony tail in front!
