Arrival Story:
My husband and I were looking for a gentle, loyal, big, goofy, lovable dog and we researched the issue for a long time. We decided without hesitation that a Newfie was the dog for us. We visited the breeder the day after she was born and held her that very first day. We returned to visit at 5 weeks old and eventually brought her home at 9 weeks. We have absolutely fallen in love with her and so has anyone that meets her.

Bio:
Unfortunately, at 5 months old, I started to hear a clicking noise when Dani would walk. I knew it wasn't a good sign as my parents have a German Shepherd that has CHD. She was x-rayed immediately and diagnosed with clinical hip diplaysia in both hips. We started Glucosamine/Chondroitin treatment right away and hoped for the best. A few months later, we noticed that she was standing funny and turning her front paws strangely. at 9 months old, we brought her back the the Vet and she was then diagnosed with elbow displaysia also. We are now on Cosequin and a pain medication to help alleviate her suffering. For all that she has been through, she is the happiest girl and has been such a wonderful addition to our family. We are not sure how long she will be with us but we enjoy every day with her.
