Arrival Story:
I started out as Maggie's foster Mom. You would think that it would be a simple decision, but I had to take the difficult road to make the decision. I've had many fosters, so I wasn't sure, but I thought she was "stinkin' cute". I took her and my other Golden, Emma to the mountains in mid-Sept. and our first day there she got spooked by something and ran out the door. We both had quite an adventure for the next 3 weeks (book coming :)), but when she returned I knew she was meant for me. I absolutely adore this dog.

Bio:
Maggie came from a Missouri puppy mill. She was a puppy mill mom and treated horrible. She had so much fear of humans that nobody could touch her. She was depressed, anxious, and out of control. When she ran away, it was the most heart wrenching experience for those three weeks, but when she came back, she was a completely different dog; calm, assertive, and loving. I don't know what happened to her during her 3 week mountain adventure, but I am so grateful for the transformation.
