Arrival Story:
i was looking for a puppy as a present for my boyfriend at the time--really as a present for both of us-- anyway, we have since broken up and poor jake is a "child of divorce"... just kidding. i have responsibility of him now, though, and i love him to death. i found him on petfinder.com and adopted him from a small shelter who had a female lab who was pregnant. apparently, the owner came to get her and when the people at the shelter let him know his dog was pregnant, he decided that she must not have been his dog to begin with... (how nice some people are) anyway, the lab gave birth to a bunch of cute puppies and i was lucky enough to get one of them! .........(an update to this).......... sadly enough, i'm putting jake up for adoption. it makes me cry to even think of not seeing him when i come home every day, but i work two jobs and i think it's unfair to leave him alone all day even only a couple times a week. i definitely won't just give him to anyone--so if you're interested, let me know, but i LOVE my dog and i want to make sure that he goes into a loving home, so be ready for a mini-interrogation :) ...i've put a lot of time, work, energy, and money into making sure he is well trained and socialized, so i'm going to be very careful about this.. so please contact me if you're interested. p.s. he'd be the perfect puppy for a home that already has a dog that would like a playmate--trust me, they'll wear each other out! he's also great with kids and cats--my roommate has two cats that he's very calm and careful around.

Bio:
i have no idea what he's actually mixed with. all i know is that mom's a black lab. but just because of his markings (and some of his mannerisms) i assume he's mixed with greater swiss
