Arrival Story: We rescued Hank from Daphneyland in Acton. He was in horrible shape, emaciated and sick. His previous family had abandoned him after losing their home to forclosure. Before adopting Hank, we had lost our male Basset Basil to cancer at 7 1/2 years old. His sister Lucy was grieving terribly and we thought she might perk up if we had another Basset around to keep her company. We brought her with us and she chose Hank. It was raining that day and we drove home with two muddy babies on our laps in the car! Hank immediately bonded with us and has been our "velcro" dog ever since. Just a month after her beloved Basil left, Lucy made her way to the bridge to join him. Hank was not happy being an only child so we made the trek once again to Daphneyland and adopted a little puppy named Desi for him to play with. Hank and Desi are now best pals and play alligator mouth and do the Basset 500 each evening after their dinner. Hank has blossomed into a gorgeous healthy happy little boy. We call him the perfect dog because he is awesome. The Groups I'm In: Basset Hounds of the dailydrool I've Been On Dogster Since:
