Arrival Story:
Mackenzie is the first dog I've ever owned in my life. I had always wanted a puppy and never had one. Shortly after turning 18 and moving out on my own, I decided I wanted a puppy to keep me company. I started browsing Craigslist. A few hours and $50 later, I had brought into my life the sweetest little 8-week-old black fur ball. Mackenzie has been a huge challenge, but we've grown so much closer in the process. She came to me covered in fleas, ribs and hip bones protruding way too much, and deathly afraid of so many things. She had never slept a night indoors, and it was the middle of winter. I'm so proud of the sweet dog she's grown to be.

Bio:
I did a DNA test on Mackenzie to try and determine her heritage. I got the results back May 22nd, 2012. Turns out one parent was a pure bred Siberian Husky and the other parent was half Labrador Retriever and half Irish Setter. These results certainly explain a lot!
