So I'm told that Grandpaw will be taking care of me and my icky 6 cat siblings as they're leaving us to go to Florida as mom wants to see the Harry Potter section at Islands of Adventure in Orlando.
WHAT?!? I've never been separated from mom for over... 8 hours tops? I'm lucky as she's a housewife/stay at home mom of furries, but seriously, what is she thinking?!
WHO will I sleep with at night? Surely not my icky cat brothers!! Oh the horror! Both mom and dad are leaving me?!?! ME?!?
I heard something about my cat brothers throwing a party. I WILL NOT get blamed for that! Nuh uhhhhhh!!!
Oh I'm going to miss them :( I'll report back in a week or so when they get back. It is good that Grandpaw is staying with us...

Ok fellow canines!! What is the ONE outfit all of us would rather not wear, especially in public...
Yup, that's right! The hotdog outfit of shame!!! AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Dad took mom out for some yummy Mexican food (which I got NO left overs) and after dinner, they went to Target to get a few things. And to my horror they found me the "Hotdog" outfit for Halloween!
*gives mom and dad sad eyes in hopes of not being subjected to said outfit*
Oh oh... I think mom is going to upload a few pics!! RUN FRIENDS! DON'T LET YOUR PAWRENTS DO THIS!!!!

Woof! Today was a nice day!! No more cold drizzle rain, slight breeze and in the mid 70's!
Dad was doing things in the garage and mom decided to let me out and I sat on our patio chair. I am still not trusted *hmph* to free roam on our double culdasac so I had to wear my leash but it's all good!
I sat there, watching our neighbors wash their cars, cut grass etc.,
Our area is safe with me, the two beagles across the street, a large German Shepherd, my two buddies next door and my twin on the end of the culdasac. Don't try and sneak up on us! :)

WOW!! Word gets around that today is a special day for me! But I have a good friend to thank for that too: Pepper!! She was one of my first friends on Dogster and such a beautiful and sweet dog :) Thanks for the bark-out in your diary!
The weather has been drizzly all weekend in No. VA but dad was determined to grill steak for dinner. Naturally, I got a few pieces. Ok, a few MORE pieces than normal from mom's plate :)
Thank you everyone for the friend requests, gifts, and for making my 1 year Gotcha Day so special!!! And again, thanks Pepper for being a good friend. :)

WOOF!!! A year ago I saw, met, and went home with my furrrever family!
I'm told that there were two DIFFERENT dogs that made my mom and dad want to attend the adoption event. I come from "Operation Paws for Home" in VA. Dad's co-worker's wife was a volunteer as a foster and had told my mom all about Operation Paws for Home.
Prior to the adoption event on October 3, 2010 mom was viewing a few dog profiles and had a few dogs on hold. Well when mom saw the 2 DIFFERENT dogs in person, she said one was just too big, and the other I lived with while I was being fostered at a house.
Mom and dad thought the OTHER dog was a bit wild, even though he was a puppy like me. I remember seeing mom and dad, and jumping up and downnnnnnnnn!!! "WOOOOF WOOOF!!" I said silently. I really didn't have a handle on my bark (that came a month or so later as I really didn't bark!).
So mom and dad took me on the leash and walked me around in the next door neighbors yard (this family had said all potential adopted dogs could use their yard to get peace and quiet). So I was pretty obedient and very sweet. Mom and dad spent a good 15 minutes with me and agreed I would be a wonderful addition. Next thing I knew mom was filling out all the official paperwork (she was pre-approved a few days prior after a few reference checks/vet checks).
My buddy (the other foster) WAS going to go home with a different family but I think they decided not to get him :( No fear, I'm sure he's adopted (pretty sure from the updates) and it works out in the end for ALL dogs as it was a rescue/foster type of organization.
On the way home, I shortly fell asleep in the back seet, head resting on my mom's lap (daddy drove home).
I am a very lucky dog and I love my family and am spoiled :) Although I live with 6 cats... They're not so bad :)

So a few weeks ago mom re-ordered my brother Tiskers' meds and mom decided to change up my bone consumption.
She bought me C.E.T. HEXtra Premium Chews and boy oh boy do I love these! I don't get them too often 'cause they're pricey but I gotta say how I like how they make my teeth sparkly white :)
It's been raining a lot here (where as in the summer we have drought) so walks are on hold.
In the meantime, I'm counting down the days until I've been with my furrever family for a year! October 3, 2010 was when I was adopted :)

Times like this, I am jealous with envy as my cat brothers get to do their business INDOORS, while I have to go outside in the rain. I think my cat brothers secretly laugh at me as when I come inside, they're all staring at me from the patio door. I swear I saw Boogers laugh as I endured "wet dog".
The weather is finally cooling off. Next month marks the 1 year anniversary when I came home to my furrrever home!!! Wow time has flown!
Mom was telling dad how almost a year ago I was scared of going upstairs and downstairs. Boy things have changed :)

On August 7th, my buddy McDuff made his journey to the bridge. I wrote about it but unfortunately it was during the down time on catster/dogster and the diary disappeared :(
So I hope this one works so I can pay tribute to my buddie. His cat siblings were friends with my cat siblings before I came into the picture.
His family now has a new dog named Chance!! What a cute dog :)

He's crazy if he thinks a smack on the nose is going to stop me from sniffing him, licking him, barking at him, wanting him to play with my bone!
I found it amusing and am now trying to increase said actions! Oh boy does he get annoyed!!! I think the other cats egg him on just to see him get more frustrated!! BOL!!!
I love my brothers even if they are all cats...

So mom was watering our plants out front before dad left for work. One of our neighbors was walking their Corgi named "Missy", at least I think her name was Missy...
WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT?!?! Mom and dad had the NERVE to pet and play with the doggie while I watched from our storm door!!!
15 minutes later, our other neighbor, Tracie, was walking her doggie. He's a small doggie and I forgot his name.
This time I said, "ENOUGH". I was barking and crying as I was jealous!!!
THE NERVE!!! I can't go out front without a leash, even if we live on a double cauldasac... :( *hmph*
