So mom grew up with a dog Benji who was just shy of 14 before he went to the bridge. Mom adopted him when she was in the 2nd grade (he was 6 months like me!) and before she left for grad school in 2001, he went to the bridge.

She told me she loves how us dogs know when our humans don't feel well and how Benji used to snuggle with her when she was ill.

I type this diary at 3:20 am as mom woke up not feeling well. She was supposed to cheer on dad at his cycling race today but she's feeling icky now. So it's my job, as Dr. Ethan to take care of her, snuggle with her in bed. Yup, I'm all for that 'cause when I was "fixed" mom slept with me down stairs (didn't know how to use the stairs back then) and slept with me on the sofa while I healed.

I'm glad that I'm not the only "dog dr." around. My humans always called me Dr. Demon because I was always taking care of Daddy because he wasn't well. I hope your Mommy feels better soon. I know she is in good paws.
