I am sad to report that Sam is back with his foster family, the family who took his mom in and raised him for 7 weeks once born March 2, 2011.

My family felt that I was too aggressive and rough with the puppy. When we slept next to each other, things went well, but when I got bit (playing of course) I didn't take well to this.

Mom noticed that Sam is submissive to the foster's dogs. With me, we were almost equals, no one was the dominate one. Mom is a bit sad now, but she said she did the right thing for Sam's safety. Mom loved him a lot, they bonded and all my mom said was, "Sam you're such a sweet boy!!"

Perhaps I'm meant to be with larger dogs as I play with my neighborhood doggie friends, and we're all big? I don't even give the 6 cats I live with issues...

This story does have a happy ending though... We know the foster mom's husband wants to adopt Sam and we know the mom loves Sam. I'm betting he's adopted into their family...

Your mommy is an awfully smart lady! I know it was furry hard to have to return Sam, but it was fur the best fur you and your kitty sibs. Sam will get the best home efur and it will be all because your mommy loved you all so much! We just know the right woofer sibling is out there fur you too! Sloppy kisses, Ern-dawg

There is nothing worse than having a sibling that doesn't get along. It creats a lot of tension and unrest in the pack. Returning Sam to his foster family was the best thing to do for all involved. It's a very difficult thing to do and your momma needs all the love you can give her right now to help her feel better.
