Arrival Story:
Mom always had a dog growing up. Her beloved Benji made his journey to Rainbow Bridge before she started graduate school in 2001. Fast forward many years, mom heard about an organization called "Operation Paws for Home". Low and behold mom went to their open adoption fair and saw me and other available dogs! I was in a high kill shelter in NC but I am lucky to have a second chance at life and love :D I met my mom 10/3/2010 and am safely home and enjoying life :) Well, enjoying life and tolerating my cat brothers hehe! Nah, I like them but they sometimes aren't in the mood to play with me!!
My original name was "Johnny" but I'm now called "Ethan".

So the local Sheriff just stopped by saying there was a complaint for a dog barking non stop. Mom was upstairs and got down stairs before the Sheriff left. As the Sheriff saw, it wasn't ME barking! In fact, when I saw her, I wanted to greet her! I didn't utter a sound!
Mom said the next door neighbors have 3 dogs who bark a lot and mentioned that the town homes behind us sometimes let a firework go off to shut the next door neighbor's dog's up.
I'm trained to be QUIET when instructed to. I SWEAR! It wasn't me barking! Besides, I was indoors as mom said for the past two hours.
Weird, we didn't hear a dog barking.

Yup! In the past, most of my walks involve me and mom, no siblings!! But today the weather was nice and mom took me for a walk AND my brother Tiskers for a stroll.
Mom got a little impatient with me a few times as I would stop in front of the stroller to smell the air or I would walk around her and then she'd get caught up in my leash. I'm usually very obedient and "heel" well but today I was beside myself :)
It was fun! But hopefully next time it will just be me and mom!

First many thanks to all my friends for making my 3rd Birthday so special!! My page is all pretty now, and for once the cats are jealous :)
My mom got me a new name tag, and a tan suede coat for the cold weather. And boy oh boy did that come in handy today!
We are an hour from DC and we got clobbered with snow. Mom's from MN originally so this was nothing to her. I watched the house while she snow blowed the white stuff off the driveway. And then it was FUN TIME!! I ran around like a crazy dog outside! I love snow and I don't see it often here in VA. Later mom removed the snow from the deck and I played again! I love it! Off to post a picture!
Hope my friends are doing well :)
Oh, I did get a plain hamburger from McD's and a few fries. I inhaled that bad boy!
