When my first people moved away, I weighed about 75 pounds. The rescue place got me up to about 90. My dad knew I was pretty skinny, so he started feeding me better. I now weigh 125 pounds and everyone says I look great. I have a man who comes to my house about every 2 months and he gives me a bath and grooming in his van. I love that. Maggie only gets to do that once in a while, because she's easier for my dad to take care of. My hair can get really long and I need more care.

Well, up until I was about 2, I lived in someone's yard. My job was to protect goats. My owner used to throw some food out for me once in a while, but never let me inside their house. One day, those people moved away and just left me behind. I wandered to a neighbor's house who had seen me in my yard from time-to-time. This lady was really nice. She took me to a rescue place for Great Pyrenees, because I really didn't have a home any more. After a while, the rescue place said I could stay with that lady, but she already had 4 other dogs. She took me to a dog park one day and my new dad saw that she had a new dog (me) and started talking to her. I heard her tell my dad my story and that she didn't know what she was going to do with me. My dad told her that he used to have a dog like me and since I got along with his other dog, Maggie, he thought that maybe I could live with them. Well, we saw each other at the park a couple more times, then one day the lady took me to my dad's house. I loved it there. We have a really big yard and my mom and dad let me come inside whenever I want (except sometimes when I'm really dirty-I like to lay in the dirt and mud sometimes). Maggie's pretty nice to me, and we play together some time, but she is queen of the house. I let her think she's in charge. My dad takes us for a walk every morning, then Maggie and I come home and I hang out outside most of the time, and Maggie stays inside. But our back door is always open so I can go in-and-out and we all sleep inside at night. I like that a lot better.
