Leave a bone for Rosie Birthday: April 15th 2008 Arrival Story: Rosie is a rescue dog that I adopted from MARS (mini Aussie Rescue) in Washington. My wife got a call and was told that MARS desperately needed to rescue a mini by the weekend or the owner was going to "put a bullet in her head." We agreed to foster Rosie but could not get to see her for a few weeks. We were told that Rosie had a submissive urination problem but we were willing to work with her. But before we got to pick up Rosie she had found a new foster home. Unfortunately, that foster home returned Rosie within a week because "she urinated in the house and when we scolded her she did it again." In 2 weeks poor Rosie had gone from a hostile home to a rescue center to new home back to the rescue center.
When we met Rosie with our other mini Aussie Neon it was love at first site. Rosie loved Neon and I fell head over heels for Rosie. Yes Rosie urinated in the house for the first month, and still does occasionally when she gets excited two years later but that is a small price to pay for unwavering love and loyalty. Rosie is the perfect dog, at least for me. Bio: After a short period of adjustment to our house we started taking Rosie to agility classes with our other dog Neon. The beginning was rough as Rosie was not well socialized when we got her at 11 months of age but we persisted and now she is an agility wiz. In less than 2 years of competing she already competing at Level 3 and loves doing it! She just wants to please here daddy and does every even whether is qualifies or not! I've Been On Dogster Since:
