Birthday: August 26th 2009 Likes: Playing, fetching and getting lovin'. Arrival Story: When he was just a wee pup, Eddie was adopted from a rural shelter in Kentucky. After living with his family for a year, they were forced to bring him back to the shelter because of financial hardship. Eddie wasn't sure why his family went away but he's doing his best to keep a stiff upper lip and be a good boy. Bio: We're not sure of Eddie's exact mix, but he's got the body and ears of a Corgi, with the coat and colors of a Boston Terrier. He is just about 28 lbs. and he's full grown. He's a happy pup, and a great snuggler. He loves to hang out with his people and will nap with the cat, but the cat doesn't appreciate his attempts to play. Eddie is very active and playful; he loves to fetch a tennis ball and is getting pretty good at catch. Eddie is also good at entertaining himself with his toys (he loves anything squeaky!), but is a strong chewer so plush toys are quickly disemboweled. A supply of sturdy toys and rawhides are a must! He still a young boy, and needs a little work on his basic training – his favorite tricks are stealing coasters off the coffee table, and jumping up on his foster mom when he's excited, but overall he's a very easy dog to have around. He knows sit, and takes treats nicely, and rides well in the car. Eddie is also crate trained and sleeps there peacefully all night. We've also only heard him bark one time during play, so he's a quiet little guy too. We think the happiest match for Eddie would be an active home with a fenced yard, so he has plenty of opportunities for play and exercise, with no small critters to chase. A doggie playmate would be a plus too! If you you are looking for an active, playful dog, and think you've got the snuggle power to match his, let us know.
