Arrival Story:
I had been looking to adopt a puppy from a shelter and had been doing extensive research on petfinder. I saw an adorable beagle mix pup online and promptly drove to the shelter. Unfortunately, he wasn't there, and as I was about to leave I saw this dog staring at me wistfully from behind his kennel's bars. Being a dog lover, I just had to say hi. The volunteer took him out of the kennel and had me play with him outside, even though I told her I was looking for a puppy. Scooter was a stray and didn't know much about being a dog, but he was so calm and sweet to me, I just feel in love. I haven't had him for a long time, but he has been just great so far and I love having him in my life. He may not have been what I was looking for, but I have noticed that sometimes the best things in life are unexpected.
