Arrival Story:
One day I was just looking at different Collie rescues and ran across a picture of a 3 legged collie puppie that needed a home...Well needless to say I fell in love instantly..With alot of talking and debating with my hubby we both (I had already decided)that we needed that little guy as much has he needed us... So we went to Tenn. to visit with him and then we brought him home...He fit in with the rest of the doggy and people family just fine.. His foster family told us that he had a very rough start to his life.. He was born with a deformed frony leg and the breeder had it amputated at the elbow when he was very young...And then spent a long time in a crate , causeing the lose of use of the other leg.. So when they got him all he could do is push himself around on his chest with his rear legs..But with alot of love and time they taught him how to walk upright with his one good front leg...

Bio:
Well aparently knowone has ever told Strider that he is missing a front leg.. To see him playing and running around the yard with his sisters and jumping on and off the bed and furniture, running up and down the stairs and just doing everyday doggine stuff (except lefting his leg to go potty)he is as normal as any other dog..
