A visiting I did go

I did a whole lotta visiting in the past two days and mom said I did great! On Tuesday, Mom, Grandma, Chloe and I went to visit Betty from the church. She had surgery not too long ago and is stuck at home. Mom thought a visit would cheer her up and it sure did. Chloe visited with Betty before, but this was my first time. Her Granddaughter has this little dog that acts like it's a ferocious beast... too bad I could take it out with my swipe of my paw (not that I would do that or anything). I tried to behave, but I did get a little carried away when mom started to have me do some tricks for Betty. You know me... always a showoff! From Betty's we went to Manor Care. We were lucky cause a lot of the residents were in the activity room playing Bingo so we visited with them first. It's always nice when they are together like that. From there we visited our regular rooms and some new ones. Poor Joe was in bed already. He gets so mad when they put him to bed early like that. I wish I could take him home and take care of him myself. I know he would love that! But I'm just a dog and I can't:( Everyone wanted to see us that night and I was really tired when we were done.

Last night Mom, Dad, Chloe and I went to Country Meadows. We hadn't been there for a long time. We got really wet going in cause it was raining buckets. People would pet us and get a wet hand... opps! Everyone was happy to see us cause we hadn't been there since before Christmas. It's sad though cause our friend Gloria passed away:'( She was such a nice lady and loved when we visited with her. We had a lot of people, but not as many as usual. That's cause the flu was still going around and we weren't allowed in some areas that we normally go. Oh yeah, I gotta tell you what dad did. We were in the dementia ward. They keep those doors locked with a code so they can't get out. Mom knows to look and be sure none of the residents are nearby when we go in or out so they don't try to get out (believe me they will!) Well, mom and Chloe went out first and me and dad were behind them. I was pulling dad cause I knew we had to get going before one of the residents saw us. Dad didn't like me pulling and he made me heal and stand there. The problem is, he did this while he had the door open and guess what? Yep, one of the residents was coming and I mean fast! We barely got the door closed before the resident got to it. Boy was that a close one! Dad didn't realize that they did that, but mom said there's always at least one that tries everytime.

I don't think we're going to Ali's this weekend. She said we could, but we had to stay in the basement. It is heated so we wouldn't be cold or anything, but mom is afraid I might yip at night to get out of the crate and to bed with them and we're not allowed in the rest of the house. That's cause poor Jan (Ali's husband) had a really bad experience with a dog when he was a kid and now he's afraid of dogs. Chloe and I are hoping that he will eventually see that we won't hurt him and start to like us. Of course, I didn't make a good first impression when I lunged at Ali and growled at her the first time I met her... opps!
