Barium Test ClearMay 18th 2012 5:36 am[ Leave A Comment | 5 people already have ] They did a Barium test on Echo yesterday and it was clear. So we are now at the point where we will try supportive care with meds and I/D food and see if she improves. When I picked her up last night, she seemed much better. She had more energy and when we got home, she wanted to drink water. She played with Chloe a little and I even got her to eat a couple teaspoons of food. She did have a bout with diarreha and I cleaned her up then put A/D on her like the vet ordered. This is when it turned bad. Echo snuck a lick in and she immediately got sick. When Echo vomits, she shuts down... won't eat or drink again. So we pretty much went back to square one. She didn't vomit again or have diarreha, but she wouldn't eat or drink either and was a little depressed. I took her back to the vet this morning and they gave her an injection for nausea and they will be more aggressive with her feeding. Once Echo sees that she can eat without vomitting, she'll start to recover since nothing is showing up in any tests. If she doesn't improve over the weekend, then next week they will do an endoscopy on her. We are all hoping that it won't come to the endoscopy. I was hopefully yesterday when she came home and I'm praying we get there again today and this weekend. I will keep everyone posted.
