Favorite Walk: Everywhere rural, going to the river and hiking in the woods
Arrival Story: Yukon is a dog bred by my parents. They are very successful working line breeders in Germany. He went into a home where they thought he was safe. He was supposed to be titled but instead he got abused. He came back as a different dog, literally scared of his own shadow. He wouldn't go anywhere near people, didn't even know how to play and ducked from every fast movement.
Thankfully he didn't get aggressive, he was simply scared.
Since I have a hand for abused dogs I took him to give him the home he deserves. After everything he's been through (we only know bits and pieces) he wouldn't go anywhere else.
I took his half-sister Zenzy too and she helped him to get over most of his fears. We socialized, socialized and socialized him some more. He learned how to play and is now a very playful dog that loves to chase the kong, play tug-o-war and to go out on hikes.
Yukon has a natural urge to please his handler. He picks up fast and can connect the dots and loves to work. He especially loves the clicker-training and just wants to learn new things.
He now is a very proud male, he is outgoing and the most gentle dog I have ever met in my life.
He is indeed my heart-dog!
